Coach Expectations - MODEL THE WAY
- Respect officials and opponents
- Model positive behavior for players
- Teach skills and build players up
- Look for opportunities to teach life skills and lessons
- Ensure player safety
- Put players in situations where they can experience success
- Build up and lift up, confident players perform their best
Player Expectations
- GRADES in school and BEHAVIOR at home and outside of baseball need to be top priority
- Practice good sportsmanship; never react to umps, never throw equipment
- Respect opponents, parents, and coaches
- Support and encourage teammates
- Win with class and lose with grace
- Leave the dugout better than you found it
- Learn from mistakes
- Work hard and never give up
Parent Expectations
- Make sure players arrive to games and practices on time
- Positively support all members of the team
- Be a positive role model for players
- Don't critique the game on the way home
- Respect opponents and officials
- Support the coaches message
- Volunteer where possible
- Communicate any concerns to coaches in private
